Less cost, still LIT.

Friday night works with the internet down.

LITPOS is the restaurant point of sale we're building for independent owners who are tired of paying too much to take an order and a card. When the internet drops, a store hub on your own network keeps the floor, the kitchen and the cash drawer running. When it comes back, everything syncs. Nothing lost, nothing doubled.

A no-signal icon shows the internet is down. One restaurant is still lit: inside, a POS station, a server's handheld and a kitchen screen glow, receipt and kitchen tickets print, and cyan mesh lines connect every device to a small store hub on the shelf. How LITPOS talks  Short. Calm under fire. Numbers first. Never cute about money. No "Oops!" Say what happened, what's safe, what to do next.
Why LITPOS exists

Let restaurants Take the power back.

Today the power sits with payment providers and merchant-services companies. They set the fees, hold the data and lock restaurants in. We're building LITPOS so restaurants can do the work themselves and keep what they earn.

Your money

Low fees you can see on every statement. Your regulars can pay straight from their bank with the Celebrity Card, so less of every check goes to card costs.

Your data

Your guest list, your reports, your history. Export all of it whenever you want. No lock-in, no hostage data when you leave.

Your tools

It keeps working when the internet doesn't. You run your own marketing, loyalty and gift cards instead of renting them from a provider.

When the internet drops

The rush doesn't wait for the router.

Most point-of-sale systems live in the cloud, so a dead connection on a Friday means handwritten tickets and guessing at cards. LITPOS puts a store hub on your own network. Every station, handheld, printer and kitchen screen talks to it directly, so orders, kitchen tickets, cash and open checks keep moving.

The card terminals fall back to their own LTE. When the line comes back, the hub syncs everything up, with no lost orders and no duplicates.

Internet downStore hub running. Orders, tickets and cash keep working.

  1. Internet goes down. The store hub keeps the restaurant on its local network.
  2. Card terminals switch to LTE. Guests keep paying by card.
  3. Service keeps going. Orders fire, kitchen tickets print, the drawer opens, checks stay open.
  4. Internet is back. The hub starts syncing what happened.
  5. Synced. Every order counted once. Nothing lost, nothing doubled.

Built for the rush.

Big targets, high contrast, one glance to know where every table stands. The station, the floor, the line and the server's hand all show the same check, live, from the hub in your back room.

  • The menu

Modifiers, combos, daypart prices and 86'd items, managed in one place and pushed to every station.

  • Host stand

A waitlist that texts guests when their table is ready, only if they opt in.

  • Self-order kiosk

Guests order and pay on their own. The ticket lands in the kitchen like any other.

  • Online & delivery

Your own ordering website on your own domain. Delivery-app orders flow straight into the kitchen, and your menu and 86'd items push back out to the apps.

  • Time clock

Clock in and out with a PIN and a photo. Job codes, and labor percentage live through the shift.

  • Walk-in & reorder

Inventory by recipe with par levels. Running low? One tap sends the reorder to your supplier through REDIS.4U, and InvoiceIQ checks the invoice when it arrives.

  • Daily close

Close reports that tie out to the cent, posted to your QuickBooks. Export anything as PDF, CSV or XLSX.

House rules

Your money. Your bank.

LITPOS touches your money and your guests. These rules are written into how it's built, not added later.

  • Money never passes through JARBIZ.

Each restaurant is its own merchant. Payments settle straight to your own bank account. We write the software; we never hold your money.

  • Card data never touches LITPOS.

Cards are read by certified terminals from the payments provider. LITPOS is "semi-integrated": it sends the amount and gets back the result, never the card number.

  • Every number reconciles.

Each day closes to the cent (sales, tips, cash and cards) and posts to your QuickBooks. If something doesn't tie out, you see it that night, not at tax time.

  • Humans release money.

Refunds over your limit and reversals need a named manager to sign off. The system doesn't send money back on its own.

  • Guests approve every payment.

A Celebrity Card payment happens only when the guest approves it on their own phone, every time.

By invitation only

Your regulars.
Paid by bank.

The Celebrity Card is a restaurant-branded card for your best guests that pays straight from their bank. Your restaurant's name rides on the card; LITPOS stays in the corner. Guests get a checkout that takes seconds and perks you choose. You save the card costs on every check they pay with it.

  1. 1

    You're invited

The owner picks who gets invited. The guest enrolls in a web app: links their bank, signs a debit authorization, sets Face ID or a PIN.

  2. 2

    Pay at the table

The server shows a QR. The guest scans it with their own phone, sees the check, picks the tip and approves.

  3. 3

    Approved

The check closes on the spot. No card leaves the guest's pocket. It joins one weekly debit.

Hardware

Hardware you own.

No proprietary terminals to lease. LITPOS runs on ordinary Android tablets and handhelds you buy anywhere, and it keeps the printers and cash drawers you already have.

Commodity Android

Stations and handhelds are ordinary Android tablets and phones the restaurant owns. If one breaks on a Saturday, you replace it. You don't wait on a lease.

Locked down

Each device runs locked in kiosk mode, so a station is a station: no browsing, no games, no settings to fiddle with mid-rush.

Keep what works

Standard Epson receipt, kitchen and label printers and your cash drawers carry over. Card terminals come certified from the payments provider.

Switching

Switch on a slow night.

Changing a POS shouldn't be a leap of faith. You see what you'd save first, you run both systems side by side, and you only cut over when you're ready.

  1. See your savings

InvoiceIQ reads your current POS statement and software invoice, and builds a report: what you pay today against what you'd pay on LITPOS.

  2. Run side by side

LITPOS runs next to your current system on slow nights, so your staff learn it without the pressure of a full house.

  3. Cut over on a slow day

When the numbers match and the team is comfortable, you switch on a quiet day, not a Friday.

Part of JARBIZ

Wired into the rest.

LITPOS isn't a lone box on the counter. It connects to the JARBIZ tools on either side of a restaurant's day.
